Age the tender age of 14, Kristyn Heath invented a device that allows iPods and other MP3 players to listen in on each other’s music if they are a few feet away. Calling the device “SnoopTunes”, she created a company, applied for a patent, and begun to actually manufacture the device. By the way, she won entrepreneur of the year (2008) from Black Enterprise magazine.

But wait a mizzle my nizzle, Rap artist Snoop Dogg has something to say about that name. He’s suing over the use of ‘Snoop’ in the title, claiming it violates his trademark.

What violation? Mr. Dogg did not create the word Snoop, just took advantage of it. Why not encourage the young sister for her ingenuity rather than sandbag her?

I understand Snoops stand using the word snoop will make a reference towards him. But, instead of suing I believe he should have put some capital behind the invention or even offered too market it nationally for the young women. So, I agree this was very poor taste especially for someone who claims too love the kids.
