• Technology helps the blind in Africa

    This is just cool. A company called Computer Aid is refurbishing old PC’s and sending them to Africa, with special software that provides assistance for users with vision deficiencies.

    This includes special “dongles” that can be plugged into almost any Windows based PC to enable voice prompts that assist with what’s on the screen.

      I think more people need to be aware of this. It is such a touching story and I remember when I first read this on Modern Minority. With all the flyers on “computer” specials and Christmas specials, we have to be knowledgeable about people who are unfortunate to even have computers. My hat off to this company, what a great thing to do.
