Ok – this is just getting out of hand.
At Claire McCaskill’s (Missouri) town hall, an African American woman brings a Rosa Parks poster with her to attend the meeting. Out of nowhere, a white guy decides to walk over, snatch it from her and tears it up.
WTF?
Seriously people – there’s some bad blood brewing in the country right now. The fact that the right wing is actually embracing these people instead of disowning them says just how out of touch they are.

I know that health care is a complicated subject, but it is something that needs to be addressed. There are millions of U.S. citizens who have insurance, yet can’t afford the medications that are prescribed for them. I have been waiting for some of the talking heads to come up with their own plans, yet we hear nothing but derision from them.
Where were these people when President Bush was in office? Why didn’t we hear the hue and cry about the decisions he made? All President Obama has done is make a proposal. It is his and the legislature’s job to hammer out a bill that is fair to everyone. Listening to people who are foaming at the mouth will not help the country.
I don’t know what I would do if someone did to me what was done to the woman in the audience. I looked at the video several times, and could not discern that she did anything aggressive to cause this man to take the picture and tear it up.
There is simply no excuse for that kind of behavior. Does anyone know if he was arrested? Why were we only able to see the woman being taken away? I am trying not to think badly of some people in this country, but it is a very difficult job.
I have been trying to determine the outcome of this event as well. However, I cannot seem to locate any evidence that either party was detained or arrested after the incident.
Where’s the outrage that demands he gets some jail time or somethin . Think he would’ve done that to a Big Black Man ?
What did she do that was so wrong? After viewing the clip for a third time, I realize that the people in the audience started clapping as the man came over to take the picture. Perhaps it was a good idea to escort her for safety purposes.
I am not surprised by this clip unfortunately I have heard and seen a lot worse.
